The Svelta — Formerly Seduction — Plastic Surgery Wrongful Death Cases
NBC6 Miami · Jorge E. Silva on the Svelta cases
Two Patients, Weeks Apart
In the spring of 2026, two patients died weeks apart after undergoing cosmetic procedures at the same Miami-area clinic: Svelta Plastic Surgery, which had operated for nearly two decades as Seduction Plastic Surgery before changing its name.
Kenly Millan Aponte, a 35-year-old mother of two from Kentucky, died on April 29 after undergoing “mommy makeover” procedures. Weeks later, Endrys Elian Martinez, a 19-year-old student from Tennessee, died after complications from a rhinoplasty.
Silva & Silva represents both families. The firm is pursuing wrongful death and medical malpractice claims against the clinic, and fighting to compel a full investigation of its practices — so that no other family suffers the same preventable loss.
“Right before the surgery commenced, after the anesthesia had been induced, he had a complication that was unrecognized and remained without oxygen for countless minutes.”
— Jorge E. Silva, partner, Silva & Silva, on Endrys Martinez’s death, to CBS News Miami
Both deaths, the families’ attorneys say, were anesthesia-related — “These are both anesthesia-related deaths,” Jorge E. Silva told Oxygen.com — and both were preventable.
